Dan Bowers
Dan has taught all levels of Sprinklerfitting, Level 1 Gasfitting and has re-engineered our Cross Connection Control program. Dan has represented British Columbia at the National Occupational Analysis and Red Seal exam bank workshops for Sprinklerfitting. Dan taught Sprinklerfitting at Red Deer College in Alberta and has maintained a healthy working relationship between the colleges.
Dan McKinley
PVC’s most experienced Sprinklerfitting instructor. Dan has taught all levels of Sprinklerfitting as well as Steamfitting programs and level one Gasfitting. Dan has represented British Columbia at the National Occupational Analysis and Red Seal exam bank workshops for both Sprinklerfitting and Steamfitting.
Rick Vanier
PVC’s most experienced instructor. Rick has taught all levels of Plumbing, Steamfitting and Gasfitting for many years. Rick’s strength is curriculum writing and coordination, supported by his unwavering attention to detail. When the Industry Training Authority needs Plumbing or Steamfitting expertise, Rick Vanier is the first choice.
Lewis Martin
Lewis has taught all levels of Plumbing and Class “B” Gasfitting. Lewis has a wealth of experience and is well respected by the mechanical contractors due to his prior Plumbing and Heating wholesale occupation. Lewis has a calm demeanor and this is welcomed by his students who are preparing for a stressful Class “B” Gas exam and a very stressful Inter-Provincial Plumbing Exam.
Lee Weltens
Lee has taught all levels of Plumbing and Gasfitting. Lee was the lead Plumber/Piping Mechanic at Crescent Custom Yachts and has worked on many unique piping systems. As a service mechanic, Lee has a strong background in troubleshooting and repairing Plumbing and Heating systems.
Ian Cornwall
Ian has taught Plumbing Levels 1, 2 and 3 and will teach Level 4 beginning January 2010. Prior to Ian’s Plumbing and Gasfitting career he served a full electrical apprenticeship and successfully ran his own electrical installation and service company.
Clint Hedberg
Clint has taught Plumbing Levels 2 and 3 and has an extensive background in Plumbing and Hot Water Heating installation and service. Clint is a dedicated instructor and gives his students his full attention all day – everyday.
Eric Richards
Eric has taught numerous level 1 Plumbing classes and is the reason why these apprentices return to PVC for level 2 Plumbing. Eric will teach level 2 Plumbing beginning September 2009. Eric has a strong background in commercial and institutional Plumbing and Heating and he was responsible for the Medical Gas installation at the Abbotsford Hospital.
Richard Thomasson
Richard has taught Level 1 and Level 2 Plumbing. Richard has an outstanding work ethic and is committed to becoming an excellent instructor. He works hard at providing a positive and enjoyable learning environment so that each student gets the most they can out of each day.
Jason Latter
Jason is the newest addition to the Sprinkler department and has taught Sprinklerfitting Level 1 and 2. Jason's commitment to preparation and organization insures all of his students receive the required course material and lectures each and every day.
Jason Green
Jay is the newest addition to the Plumbing department and has taught numerous Level 2 classes and is soon to teach Level 1 Plumbing. Jay had his own Plumbing, Heating and Cross Connection Control installation and service company in Kelowna. Jay has a strong background in all aspects of residential plumbing and hot water heating. Jay has a firm yet relaxed teaching style and receives numerous accolades from his students though their instructor evaluations.
